exam for Student
In
my opinion education is one of the learning process that is needed and
important to someone for the future. Education can makes someone to get
knowledge about everything. It makes someone know about something to do and it
is not lied by other country. It helps to someone get skill and work. Education
includes two variety that are formal and informal education. Formal educatation
is education that is given in school area, but informal education is education
that is gotten from everything expect from school. For part of people still are
not care about education, because they have problems about cost. They work to
get money and after that is used to cost their life.
In
Indonesia, education system is applied must learn 9 years that are Elementary
School and Junior High School. Government applys that system to children age
7-15 years old. The purpose of government is to help them in order to get knowledge
and experiences. It does not make someone care about education. They contend
that work is important better than education. They get money when they worked,
and they will not get money if they do not work.
In
Indonesia, level of education usually held the national exam to test ability of
students. According Furqon (2004) explains that national exam was done for
almost all subjects for students at the end of each of the school level,
elementary, middle school and high school. National examination is very
important for students . In elementary school during six years, national exam
is held during three days. The lesson for exam are Indonesia language,
Mathematic and Natural sciences (IPA). In Junior High School national exam is
held during four days. The lesson for exam are Indonesia language, Mathematic,
Natural sciences (IPA) and English language. Meanwhile in Senior High School is
held 3 days, because everyday two lesson for exam. Different between Senior
High School and other level school are that Senior High School has some
direction like sciences, social and language. National exam is also used
determine graduate every student. It is important because the result from
students ability.
According
Djemari Mardapi, dkk. (2004) national exam has two effects positive and
negative. Positive effects are the existence of
national
exam help students
to preparations to deal with national exam by the
exercise, followed by adding hours of study, and the last to follow the
guidance of the test. In addition to a positive impact on students, national
exam can also be
a positive impact to teachers, that are more enterpre teachers teach and to
motivation when they teach.
Negative
effects are national exam also had a negative impact although only a small
proportion who felt it. Teachers stating that national exam can cause
physical fatigue for students, national exam lead to stress
for students. Some people content that national exam can not be the
benchmark graduate, because students study
in the school during years and their graduate are determined with their
score of national exam. They disagree because their opinion is not fair.
According
Amillatulaila Susanti (2014) explains some rules of
education that national exam is used to register in higher education. Some
people believe that national exam is important to know whether students have
material or not. National exam becomes necessary for students as graduate and to
register in higher education. People who support national exam explain that to
measure ability of students during they study in school. Existence the national
exam makes the students to study hard and they can compete with other to get
the best result. It can helps the country especially in Indonesia, that it can
finds smart of the students. It has purpose that will allow them to get skills
and they will need to help them prepare for good career. I disagree about this
opinion, because I have some reason about national exam. First, national exam
is held 3-4 days and it makes the students to study hard every night. Second,
national exam is held during 2 hours, besides the students study in school
during 3 years. So their graduate is determined during 3 days. Third, national
exam can makes the students depression, because if they don’t graduate and they
can’t be received in their favorite university.
The
conclusion from the text that the government should be care about education in
Indonesia and should give free of school for destitute of society, in order
they can feel education and get knowledge wider. Government gives schoolarship
children to continue to school. Then final of education, usually held national
exam to test for students, but some people disagree about it because their
opinion content that national exam is something difficult to do. So, the
solution is score of national exam is constant is used, but 40 percent score of
national exam and 60 percent score raport from the first until last semester. It
consists total from students and fair to register in higher education.
