The
negative effect of fast food
We know that fast food is one
of food which is human love it. There are many kinds of fast food for example
hamburgers, pizzas, chicken etc. Fast food on the market make us easy to choose
the variation according to the tastes and purchasing power. In addition, the
processing of preparation more quick and easy, suitable for those who are
always busy (Sulistijani, 2002). Beside that, many reasons that nutriens from
fast food for example make cholestrol, materials or ingrediends in fast food do
not have good nutrition to our body, make us addicted, and also make lose of
the family tradition of eating together.
First, the negatif effect from
fast food can make cholestrol. Why fast food make cholestrol? Actually, fast
food which is fried by oil is bad to our boy. Oil can make cholestrol from each
bite of food.The cholesterol content would then be one source of dangerous
diseases that can be give significant impact to you. In the end, the content of
nutrients in fast food effected in stoppage of the blood vessels of consumer.
Second, fast food contain lots
of material if consumed to excess material that can cause problems for the
body. There are several examples of materials harmful to the body, namely salt,
sugar, fat, MSG, additives, dyes, artificial sweeteners, etc. These materials
can cause health problems for the body. Beside that, it can also influence
quality of the packaging. Until now, according to Chairman of the Indonesian
Packaging Federation, Heng Darmawan in Indonesia only 10% of the packaging
system which according to the rules of SNI. Selection of the type of packaging
should pay attention to food grade and food safety (Kompas, 2003). Generally,
manufacturers rarely consider the health factor. Manufacturers choose a package
with an attractive appearance considerations, protecting the packaged product
and economic factors.
Third, do you know if the fast
food can make you addicted? Actually, eat fast food such as pizza or burger can make
a person constantly wants to eat fast food such. This is because in fast food
are ingredients like artificial sweeteners and food coloring, some of the
factors that make fast food is very tempting. If the food ingredients such as
continuous entry into our bodies, of course the effect will be very harmful for
the body and our health.
Fourth, can make lose of
the family tradition of eating together. Eating fast food encourages people to
eat on the go, because human said that time is money so, fast food is a great
way to save time where and when we eat. Diners are encouraged to eat quickly
and then leave the premises or eat while doing something else. Fast
food joints are being seen as a factor that is making families spend less and
less time together. Family meal time is something that is considered as an
opportunity for all the members to come together and share their experiences.
On the other
hand, there are advantages from eating fast food. First, we can save time. In the modern era
time is money. We live in a competitive life. So, fast food can be an
alternative to save time than usual to cook which is need a lot of time.
Second, the
price of fast food is very cheap and can unaffordable for the middle and lower,
for example, fried chicken. People can get fried
chicken easly and affordable price. Such conditions can be useful for those who
live alone. Without having to cook they can buy food they want without any
effort to cook.
Fast food is food which is
easy to prepare, practical, time saving, and also the price fairly cheap.Therefore
fast food have advantages and negatif effect. I think negatif effect more
dangerous than the advantages. So, more becareful if we eat fast food although
its delicious.
