Pop and rock music
Music is a form of entertainment that put sound
together in a way that people like or find interesting. Music expresses ideas
and emotion. Most music includes people singing with their voices or playing music
instruments. Every day, almost all of people always sing or listen to the
music. Without music life will feel emptier. Music can create reassure to
heart, relax the situation and nice for hearing. There are many kind of music
in the world. For example pop and rock music. Here, I will discuss the
differences and similarities between them.
There are a lot of differences between pop and rock
music. The first difference is about the tempo. Pop music is soft, but the rock
music is fast and so noisy on the ears. It makes the theme from the music
different too. Usually, pop music is more varied the theme of poem from
adolescent life and romance, but rock music is to raise social criticisms.
The second difference between pop and rock music is
about the singer’s dress. Usually, the pop music singers wear a neat and
interesting dress. They can use all of colors on their dress and compare it. In
contrast, the roc music singers usually dressed impressed shamble. They just
use black color and sometimes they compare black with red color. This is one
characteristic of a rock singer.
Beside the differences, pop
and rock music also have many similarities. The first similarity between pop
and rock music is that both use same musical instrument, such as guitar, bass,
and drum to produce rhythms music. Also, the both kind of music have similar
purpose to entertain and express feeling or idea. The final similarity is that both the kind of
music very popular and favored by young people.
In conclusion, pop and rock music have differences
and similarities. The differences between pop and rock music is about the tempo
of the music and the singers. The similarities between them is using same music
instrument, the purpose and favored by young people.
I have paid attention on third sentence of first paragraph that said 'Most music includes'. I think that is not correct yet because the word most show us that it is more than one music, so we must add's' after music to show if it is plurar. We also should cut 's' after include because it is plurar. So, the correct order is 'Most of musics include'.

5. "In the modern market you" should be changed to "In the modern market, you"
6. "music have similar purpose" should be changed to "music have similar purposes"

ReplyDeleteFirst, on paragraph 1, I think you should write "sounds", not sound. Then, after you write " without music", you have to use comma. Still on the same paragraph, I think it will be better if you write "for examples are pop and rock music."
Next on paragraph 3, it will be better if you write "One of the characteristics", not "one characteristic".
Last on paragraph 4, it should be "besides" not "beside" and you should write " guitar, bass and drum ", without comma before the word "and".

ReplyDeleteHello Dian! your essay looks good, but there are some grammatical mistakes inside your essay that i want to correct. here they are:
1. On paragraph 1, the words "most music" supposed to be "most musics". please pay attention about singular and plural forms :)
2. On paragraph 3, the statement "a neat and interesting dress" should be "a neat and interest" because if you put conjunction "and", so the words that press between it have to balance.
3. on the forth paragraph, again you did not pay attention about the singular and plural form. the words "musical instrument" supposed to be "musical instruments".
